Join the closed test
Android is currently in closed testing, not a public production release. Use the same Google account for the tester group, the Play test and the Play Store on your phone.
The closed test is offered in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada. Store eligibility and device compatibility still apply.

Join the tester group
Open NWatch Android Testers and choose Join group. You can enrol yourself; no developer account is needed.

Join the Google Play test
Once you have joined the group, open the test page and choose Become a tester.

Install on your Android phone
Follow the installation link on the test page, or open NWatch in Google Play after completing both steps above.

Installation not available?
Check that all three steps use the same Google account and that you have joined both the group and the Play test. If you previously joined the internal test, leave that test before joining the closed test. Eligibility changes can take time to appear; try the test page again later.

Already have a group invitation?
Installing the app does not join a private alert group. Sign in, then reopen the original invite link your manager sent you, or enter their invite code in the app.
Before a test alert, agree a time with your group and complete the app’s phone-readiness checks. For a real emergency, call your local emergency number.
